This tutorial is made in PSP X and the plug-ins:

Bordermania 

Namesuppressed Plaid Lite

 

You can take your own image or mine

Little elve

 

1 Open the image you want to use.

 2 Set your foreground colour to #fdd6ab and your background colour to #f9b667

Make a gradient :

Angle: 45

Repeats: 3

Invert ; checked

3 Image - add borders - 5 pixels - colour: #f9b667 (BG colour) - symmetric.

4 select the border with your magic wand.

5 Fill the border with the gradient

6 Effects - plug-ins - Bordermania - 3D Soft Colour #1

change the first row to 5 and leave the rest as it is.

7 selections - select none.

8 Image - add borders - 10 pixels - colour: #f9b667 (BG colour) - symmetric.

9 select the border with your magic wand

10 Adjust - noise - add noise - uniforn - 61% - monochrome

11 Effects - 3D effects - inner bevel with these settings:

12 Selections - select none.

13 Repeats the first border (3, 4, 5,6 and 7)

14 Image - add borders - 10 pixels - colour: #f9b667 (BG colour) - symmetric.

15 select the border with your magic wand

16 effects - reflexion effects - caleidoscope with these settings:

17  Effects - plug-ins - Bordermania - frame #2

Put the two upper rows to 15 and leave the rest.

18 Selections - select none.

19 Repeats the first border (3, 4, 5,6 and 7)

20 Image - add borders - 20 pixels - colour: #f9b667 (BG colour) - symmetric.

21 select the border with your magic wand

22 Effects - plug-ins - Namesuppressed-Plaid lite with these settings:

23 Selections - select none.

24 Go to your selection - tool - rectangle - tolerance and feather: 0

Select the rectangles in the border. (see example)

25 effects - 3D effects - inner bevel with these settings:

26 Selections - select none.

27 Repeats the first border (3, 4, 5,6 and 7)

28 Image - add borders - 10 pixels - colour: #f9b667 (BG colour) - symmetric.

29 select the border with your magic wand

30 Adjust - noise - add noise - uniforn - 61% - monochrome

31 Repeats the first border (3, 4, 5,6 and 7)

32 Put yoyr water-mark on your creation

and voila your frame is ready
